Fireball Spotted Across Southern California

Nov 7, 2013 4:14 PM

Southern Californians from Santa Barbara to San Diego reported seeing a fireball that forecasters said was most likely a meteor streaking across the sky.
The National Weather Service says the reports started coming in at 8 p.m. Wednesday night.
It says the meteor is most likely associated with the South Taurids meteor shower that has been especially active in early November.
Twitter lit up with reports of the sightings, which were also seen by people in neighboring states.###
