Fire destroys mobile home in Keswick

A fire ravaged a mobile home in the Keswick area Friday afternoon.

Firefighters responded to the home at 11455 California Street a little at 3:55 p.m. Friday. The home was fully engulfed when crews arrived and it took fire crews about 30 minutes to knock down the blaze.

Fire crews on scene say the homeowner suffered 1st degree burns on his right arm while trying to rescue a dog believed to be inside. The dog remains unaccounted for.

Fire investigators are looking into what caused the blaze and have not said whether or not they believe it is suspicious in nature.
