Hot, dry, and breezy conditions will leave the north state with an elevated risk of fire danger again on Friday. Temperatures will range from 6 to 12 degrees above average for the entire region this afternoon. Valley locations can expect a climb into the high 90's to low triple digits, and mountains will climb into the high 80's to high 90's.
Humidity values, and wind speed/direction will also be problematic. Humidity levels are projected to fall into the 5% to 15% range again this afternoon. Those very dry conditions will leave the region under an increase risk of fires being sparked. Winds will head out of the North this afternoon, and are projected to gust up to around 10mph.
A trough heading down from the Pacific Northwest will leave the region with improving conditions ahead for the beginning of next week.
