Fire danger will not be as high in your Friday forecast, but will remain a big concern through the weekend. A very minor drop in temperatures, lighter winds, and rebounding humidity levels were all big factors in allowing the Red Flag Warning to expire on Thursday night, but conditions across the north state are still far from ideal.
Yesterday's strong winds have diminished, and are only projected to be around 10mph out of the North for most of the region this afternoon. Humidity levels are increasing as the winds decrease, and should remain above 15% throughout your Friday, and will continue to climb this weekend.
Please continue to use extreme caution if you are doing anything that could pose a threat of starting a fire, as there is still a big concern for fire danger in the north state.
