Extreme heat, very dry conditions, and stronger winds will all be big factors that will increase fire danger in today's forecast. Temperatures are projected to climb into the high 90's to low triple digits in the valley, and into the mid 80's to mid 90's in the mountains.
Humidity values are expected to drop below 20 percent, leaving the region with extremely dry conditions. Winds will also be a major factor, with gusts up to around 25mph expected out of the North, and sustained winds to around 15mph. All of those conditions will leave the region with high fire danger today, but there will be some improvement by midweek.
