Hot temperatures, and low humidity levels will continue to leave the region with an elevated risk of fire danger on your Thursday. The good news is that winds are going to be significantly weaker than those from Wednesday, and are expected to shift later today. This morning the region still has wind up to around 10mph out of the North, but South winds to 10mph will return later today. This morning's North winds are leaving many areas of the valley with smokey skies from the Gulch Fire in Shasta County. High temperatures will climb back into the high 90's to low triple digits in the valley, and into the mid 80's to high 90's in the mountains. Humidity values will continue to be low, and are projected to bottom out at just under 10 percent.
