Downed power lines reportedly lead to a house fire in Red Bluff overnight.

It happened around 1:30 Wednesday morning on La Bray Avenue near Berrendos Middle School.

The man living in the home says he thinks the wind knocked down some power lines near the home and landed on a wood pile, sparking the fire.

Firefighters were able to contain the flames to the attic and an adjacent apartment.

Two cars were also damaged by the fire.

No one was injured in the blaze.

Fire officials say it caused about $50,000 in damages.

The cause is still under investigation.
