In rural Tehama County two people were killed Tuesday evening in a fiery, single vehicle crash. It happened along Hall Road, east of Corning around 6:30 p.m.

Witnesses reported seeing the diesel Chevy pick up truck racing southbound at a very high rate of speed. The truck apparently lost control at a dry creek bed that crosses the roadway. It flipped several times and caught fire.

According to CHP officers on scene a passerby pulled the driver from the wreck but it was too late, he'd been killed. A passenger was stuck in the wreckage that became fully engulfed in flames and also died. No word yet on who the two were. Authorities have released no other information tonight
