It's been a dry start to 2015, but finally a weak storm is punching through high pressure. This storm will deliver good rain to the North Coast, but just a few showers to us in the North State... rain totals look light. It'll come mainly in two waves... the first one will give us the threat of showers through Friday. The plume lifts northward a bit on Saturday, meaning the little bit of wet weather will move northward to a Trinity-Shasta-Lassen county line, and northward.
The wet weather will surge back southward on Sunday, but again, it will be just a few showers. This is a relatively mild plume of moisture, so snow levels will be near 6000'.
Skies should clear by Monday, and we'll warm up slowly next week. Look for a bit of a breezy north wind on Tuesday.
