Yuba County Sheriffs recommended Tuesday that the district attorney bring charges against the owner of the pit bulls who mauled a boy to death Jan. 4.

Undersheriff Jerry Read sent out a release around 4:45 p.m. Tuesday stating that after completing its investigation, his office was recommending that Alexandria Griffin-Heady, 24, be charged with felony child endangerment.

Tyler Trammell-Huston, 9, was left alone in a trailer near the 6200 block of Dunning Avenue for approximately three hours while Griffin-Heady went to work.

When she returned, she told sheriffs that she found the boy suffering from life threatening injuries after he was attacked by her three pit bulls.

Trammell-Huston was taken to Rideout Hospital where he died from his injuries.

There is no indication when Yuba County District Attorney would respond to the report or if charges would be filed.

This is a developing story, stay tuned to Action News Now for details as they happen.
