U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder has decided against seeking the death penalty for two people accused in a Northwest crime spree that left four dead.
According to the Associated Press, the notice filed in Federal Court Friday didn't explain why.
32-year-old David "Joey" Pedersen and 28-year-old Holly Ann Grigsby were arrested in 2011, by an alert CHP officer in Yuba City.
They'll stand trial in July for kidnapping, carjacking and murder ... in the deaths of two men, one on the Oregon Coast ... the other in Eureka.
Authorities say it was part of a "white supremacist scheme."
Pedersen has pleaded guilty in Washington State ... for the murders of his father and stepmother ###
