Thousands of people are expected to turn out for Feather Fiesta Days in Oroville this week.
On Wednesday, May 6th the Oroville Community Concert Band performs a free concert at Bicentennial Park on Bird Street, featuring the music of Benny Goodman and other Big Band classics.
Friday, May 8th marks the 68th annual Kiwanis Kiddies Day Parade at Bird and Pine streets. It's open to children from pre-school through 8th grade. The theme is "A Day at the Zoo".
The BIG day is Saturday, May 9th ... with activities scheduled throughout the Downtown area.
The Eagles cook up a Pancake breakfast from 6-10 a.m.
The Exchange Club hosts the Grand Parade from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. It's billed as "The Best Hometown Parade in the World". The theme this year is "Our youth, Our Future - showcasing community pride.
From 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. the Oro Dam Cruisers present the 2015 Gold Rush Car Show, with proceeds going to local charities. It's free to spectators.
The Oroville Downtown Business Association hosts the Gold Rush Fair from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. featuring food, games, information and product booths.
The St. Thomas Spring Festival is also happening, with games for kids, face painting, prizes and music. That's at 1380 Bird Street.
There's also a Craft Fair at Historic Sank Park. Hot coffee and donuts are available, and so is lunch.
Kids can make Mothrs' & Fathers' Day cards in Soroptimist Park from 9:30 a.m. - 3 p.m.
The oroville Firefighters & Police Associations will once again be hosting a Chili Cook-Off with teams competing for best homemade chili ... with beer and live music.
Sons of the Golden West host a beer & Bloody Mary Garden at Huntoon & Miners Alley from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
And the Artists of Rivertown have a Rummage Sale & Gallery Show at the Centennial Cultural Center from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m.
