The Butte County Sheriff’s Office has identified 29-year-old Jonathon Leonard Scott as a suspect in a shooting in Feather Falls on Thanksgiving Day. Scott is currently wanted by deputies for assault with a deadly weapon and is considered armed and dangerous.

Just before 1:30 p.m. on November 28, the Butte County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a gunshot victim being transported to a hospital by a relative. According to the caller, the victim was shot in the face. The shooting occurred at a residence on Long Point Road. Deputies located the victim parked on Lumpkin Road near Forbestown Road. Medical personnel responded and transported the victim to a local hospital where he is being treated for his injuries, according the Sheriff’s Office.

While deputies searched for the shooting suspect they located a large illegal marijuana garden on the property. When it was discovered the county’s Special Enforcement Unit took over that portion of the case.

Scott is described as a white male, 6’0”, 220 pounds with long reddish-blond hair.

Anyone with information regarding Scott’s whereabouts is encouraged to contact the Butte County Sheriff’s Office.
