(UPDATE) 6:09 p.m. - From what our reporter Charlene Cheng has gathered from officials at the scene, the victim was a young woman in her 20's walking barefoot on the tracks. Reportedly, the train kept sounding its horn and it was apparent the woman heard the horn because witnesses said she "flinched" at the sound. We have also learned a passersby even had time to get out of their car to warn her, but she didn't get off the tracks. The victim died immediately. We have further learned from officials at the scene the woman made no indication the victim intended to kill herself. The woman was also reportedly not homeless or didn't suffer from any mental health issues.
