Fanfare 2014 Planned to Benefit North State Symphony

The Chico Guild of the North State Symphony is presenting “Fanfare 2014” on Friday, March 21st, in honor of Dr. Kyle Wiley Pickett. Maestro Pickett will be leaving the Symphony at the end of the season.

The event supports the symphony, and it raises money for young musician scholarships.

There will be 5 food stations from around the world featuring 5 different local caters. Spanish, Italian, French, Asian, and German. Each station will feature a couple of appetizers from the country and entertainment, including: opera singer, flamenco dancer, harpist, mime, accordion player and an jujitsu demonstration. Then we will have a small plate sit down dinner and wine with entertainment by Dr. Pickett.

There are also great silent auction items such as week home accommodations in Sun River, Oregon and San Luis Obispo California.

Attire is semi-formal. It takes place at The Palms Event Center at 2947 Nord Avenue, Chico. 6 – 10 p.m. For more information visit ###
