Family and friends of a patient who disappeared from her hospital room more than two weeks ago want to know what happened before she was found dead in a stairwell at San Francisco General Hospital.
The body of patient Lynne Spalding was found in a stairwell at the hospital Wednesday.
The 57-year-old entered the hospital on September 19th with a urinary tract infection.
She was last seen on September 21st. Authorities say they don't know how she ended up in the stairwell, how long she had been there or what caused her death.
Family spokesperson David Perry says the family has very little information about her condition.
Family and friends posted flyers and searched the entire city, only to find out she never left the hospital grounds.
Spalding told a friend she had been feeling disoriented on her medication.
