The family of Neal King is now offering a $20,000 reward for information which leads to an arrest or conviction of the person or persons responsible for King's disappearance.
The 25-year-old was last seen on March 26 in the Berry Creek area, and authorities suspect his disappearance was caused by foul play. Investigators say King may have been involved in a marijuana transaction that day at the home of Don and Jennifer Cheatham of Oroville. Search warrants were served there and the couples business "Amazon Garden Supply" and were subsequently arrested on charges of marijuana cultivation. Jennifer Cheatham was released on bail, but Don Cheatham remains in custody. Butte County Sheriff's detectives told Action News today he is a "person of interest" in the case.
King is described as a white male, 5'11'' tall, 130 pounds, blue-green eyes, a tall and skinny build with dark, short red hair.
Anyone with credible information is urged to contact Detective Freeman with the Butte County Sheriff's Office at (530) 538-3282 or at email@example.com.
