BERKELEY, Calif. (AP) - Police have arrested a former UC Berkeley employee suspected of using a hidden videocamera to spy on more than 100 people in a campus bathroom.

The Okland Tribune reports Saturday that 49-year-old Joseph Rajko Barbir was arrested on suspicion of more than 25 counts of invasion of privacy with a camera.

Lt. Marc DeCoulode says police began investigating the case May 8, when a camera was discovered in a lower-level bathroom in the Unit 1 Residence Hall's central building.

The central building offers students academic and administrative help, providing mail services and space for meetings and dorm events.

A UC Berkeley staff member discovered the device, disguised as an electrical outlet, on a tile wall across from a toilet.

DeCoulode says Rajko Barbir was arrested Thursday.
