An evacuation order for Dunsmuir residents living along Butterfly Avenue has been lifted by the Siskiyou County Sheriff's Office.
The evacuation order was lifted at 12 p.m. after being ordered due to flood threats at 5 a.m. Monday.
The sheriff's office issued the following statement on the evacuation:
"The evacuation advisory for the residents of Dunsmuir residing the area of South First St. between 579 S. First St. and the Riverwood Trailer Park was lifted by the Siskiyou County Sheriff's Office as requested by the City of Dunsmuir Fire Chief and unified command Incident Commander. The area's described above is for all residents along South First Street Areas of active high water in the Sacramento River may exist along the entire river shoreline. Please remain vigilant and monitor official sources for updated flood information."
