ESPN will be making a trip to Chico State next year to broadcast a pair of basketball games.

The sports network will be in Chico on February 19 when the Cats take on Cal Poly Pomona. The men’s and women’s game is the network's Division II game of the week.

The games will air on ESPN 3, which is ESPN's online service. ESPN 3 is accessible to most ESPN subscribers via, smartphones and tablets, and is currently available in more than 99 million homes.

The Chico State men’s team is currently 7-1, while the women are 4-2. The Cal Poly Pomona men are 8-0.

ESPN’s trip to Chico will be the second time the Cats are in the national spotlight this season. They played the University of Arizona on the PAC 12 Network in November. During the game, Robert Duncan, a junior at Chico State, caught the attention of several national sports media outlets when he posterized Gabe York.
