A fire in Yuba County that started as a scheduled burn, but jumped containment lines Thursday afternoon, is now 90 percent contained.

According to Cal Fire, the fire started a critical training class for fire fighters at the U.C. Berkeley Field Station in Yuba County.

The fire has burned 180 acres, but Cal Fire officials say the majority of the land burned falls within the 212 acres set for the original prescribed burn.

The fire led to an evacuation advisory for more than a dozen homes in the area of Oregon House, including residents on Regent Way, Vega Way, Emerald Way, Winding Way, Westwood Trail and Monte Verde, but threats to structures were mitigated Thursday night.
