The search for an inmate in Tehama County who who escaped from the Valley View conservation camp in Elk Creek has ended. Late Monday evening investigators say 33-year-old Joshua Wortman" was captured in a residential neighborhood in Redding. Wortman was a minimum security inmate, assigned to a firefighting crew at the camp. He vanished in the early morning hours of Monday. He was scheduled to be released in 2018. Wortman being taken back to the state prison in Susanville and will no longer be eligible to be housed with the conservation camp. No word on how authorities were led to Wortman in Redding.
