SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico (AP) - Tropical Storm Erika is expected to dump up to 12 inches of rain across parts of the drought-stricken northern Caribbean as it carves a path toward the U.S.
Right now it's lashing Puerto Rico with heavy rains and wind.
The storm left four people dead in the eastern Caribbean island of Dominica (doh-MIN'-ih-kuh), and some 20 people are missing.
Forecasters say Erika could strengthen into a hurricane as it gets closer to South Florida early next week.
