PG&E officials say that the Eiler Fire has left more than 1,000 North State customers without power.
Pacific Gas and Electric Company crews are making repairs along Highway 89 near Old Station and Cassel to burned poles and downed distribution power lines where there is access, where power is out to 534 customers.
National Forest firefighters requested that for firefighter safety, power be shut off to 226 customers. Another 327 customers are without power due to burned poles and downed power lines.
28 power poles have burned in the Eiler Fire and repairs have been made to nine of them, but at this time PG&E officials are unable to give an estimated time of restoration for any of the impacted customers.
Crews are applying fire retardant to wooden poles in the Johnson Park area as a precaution against the Eiler Fire spreading.
