Durham High Seniors Are Raffling Off A New Car For Fundraiser

Graduation is a little over two months away and seniors at one north state school are looking to have a safe and sober celebration in style thanks to some help from a local car dealership.
Durham High School seniors are selling raffle tickets for a 2012 Nissan Versa at $20 each to raise money for their safe and sober grad night. A portion of the car's cost is being donated by Chico Nissan Hyundai.
The dealership valued the car at a little more $17,000. While a portion of the raffle ticket sales will go toward their share of the cost of the car students say this fundraiser is a huge blessing.
They've also turned this fundraiser into a little friendly contest. The senior who sells the most tickets will win an I-Pad.
For their safe and sober graduation party the senior class has chosen to take a river boat cruse out of Old Sacramento and they expect there will be a lot of leftover money after their trip is paid for.
If you want in on this raffle you can purchase tickets at Durham High or at Chico Nissan Hyundai. Only 1,000 tickets are left. They are $20 each. The raffle winner will be selected during the Durham may day celebration on May 11th at the Durham Park.
