Mostly dry, and cloudy conditions are ahead for the north state in your Thursday forecast. There are small pockets of misting throughout the valley, but that should dissipate over the next 2 hours. The best chance for very light showers will continue in the Northern Mountains with Northern California's snow level lifting to 5000 feet. That chance for precipitation looks to be very unlikely today. Temperatures are starting out in the high 40's to low 50's in the valley, and in the mid 30's to mid 40's in the mountains. Afternoon high temperatures will climb into the 53 to 57 degree range for the valley, and 40 to 51 degree range for the mountains.
Light rain returns to the region in your Friday forecast, but most areas will dry out by Saturday. There will be a lingering chance for showers in the higher elevations of the far northern zones of the state extending into Sunday morning.
Clearing skies and warming temperatures will be ahead in your Christmas week forecast. I hope everyone stays safe on the slick roads, and has a great Thursday!
