Foggy conditions have returned to the valley overnight. The biggest impact has been in Redding, where visibility is down to around a half a mile. The rest of the valley has had minimal impacts from the fog. The chance for showers in the lower elevations has diminished overnight, and mostly to partly cloudy skies are ahead for your Tuesday. Temperatures are starting out in the mid to high 40's, and are expected to climb back into the mid 60's this afternoon. Humidity values will start to fall throughout the day, but should stay above 65 percent. Winds are expected to be light, but may pick up to around 10mph out of the South. Your Tuesday sunrise is set for 7:13am, and sunset will be at 5:29pm.
Dry conditions will linger into your Wednesday forecast, but the next chance for wet weather will arrive as early as Wednesday night. Precipitation will strengthen on Thursday, before heavy rain returns for Friday through Sunday. Projections are indicating more than 3 inches in the valley during that time frame. There could be some showers lingering for the northern end of the valley on Monday.
