A suspected DUI driver accused of causing a fatal crash on the Skyway Monday afternoon, has a revoked license and several prior DUI convictions, according to court records.

California Highway Patrol officials say 51-year-old Jonna Therese Smith of Chico was killed when the Dodge Neon she was riding in crossed onto the wrong side of the road and slammed into a Toyota Prius.

Butte County court records show that the driver of the Dodge Neon, 64-year-old Richard Wilson of Chico, was convicted of Driving under the Influence of drugs or alcohol in 1991, again in 1992 and twice in 1994. Wilson also has several convictions for driving with a suspended license.

CHP investigators say there were alcohol bottles and a strong odor of alcohol coming from Wilson's car. He was arrested for felony DUI and manslaughter and released Enloe Medical Center for treatment.
