The "Dream Big" Youth Music Festival at the historic State Theatre in Oroville at 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 5th, will benefit Butte County music students. 100 percent of the proceeds will go to the seven different student music groups that are performing for help with costs such as sheet music and uniforms.
The festival will feature performances by the Central Ishi Band, Las Plumas-Oroville High School Band, MTAC Youth Orchestra of Chico, Nelson Avenue Middle School Band, Paradise High School Band, Paradise High School Chorus and Paradise Strings in Schools.
North State Symphony Director/Conductor Scott Seaton will be a guest speaker.
The Butte County Office of Education's Visual and Performing Arts Program is teaming up with the State Theatre Art Guild (STAGE) and Tong Fong Low to host the event.
The cost is just $10 for general admission, and students under 18 get in free.
