Donations Needed for Paradise Shop with a Cop

The Paradise Police Officers' Association is gearing up for it's 28th annual Shop with a Cop event.
It takes place at K-mart on December 6th bright and early in the morning.
The goal is to team up underprivileged children from the community with a member of the Paradise Police Department. The child is provided a designated amount of money, typically $50 dollars, to purchase gifts for his or her family.
The Officer, Dispatcher, Community Service Officer or Police volunteer works with the child to stay within budget and helps them pic that perfect gift.
It provides positive interaction between younsters and local law enforcement.
Each year approximately sixty children are selected for the Shop With A Cop Program by Paradise school teachers and staff, as well as the Salvation Army.
K-mart provides each child with breakfast and a stocking full of goodies.
And afterward, they're treated to a movie and popcorn at Paradise Cinema 7 with their parents. While that's happening ... the presents are specially wrapped by members of the Paradise High School Cheerleader Squad.
Donations are needed to help make it happen. You can make checks payable to "PPOA SHOP WITH A COP". They can be mailed to P.O. BOX 860, Paradise CA. 95967, or you can deliver your donation to the Paradise Police Department. Also, look for the event on Facebook where you'll find a "gofundme" link.
