Donations being accepted for severely abused 9-year-old girl

A fundraiser has been set up for a 9-year-old girl found suffering from severe wounds and starvation in Quincy last week.

The Plumas Crisis Intervention and Resource Center is collecting donations through the Plumas Bank to help the girl.

Checks should be made payable to Plumas CASA Special Child, and donations can also be made in person at any Plumas Bank branch.

On Friday, Plumas County sheriff’s deputies were called to check on the well-being of a 9-year-old girl in Quincy.

Investigators found the girl suffering from neglect and abuse, and eventually found two small children, a 3-year-old girl and 6-year-old boy, dead in a storage unit in Redding.
