Domestic violence call leads to meth arrest in Tehama County

A domestic violence call led to the arrest of a Tehama County transient found to be in possession of methamphetamine and a loaded pistol, according to the Tehama County Sheriff’s Office.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to the 8000 block of Highway 99 West in Proberta last Wednesday. A woman at the home told deputies her boyfriend, 25-year-old Cody King had spat in her face during an argument.

Deputies pulled King over as he was leaving the area, and found him to carrying a concealed pistol, methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

King was arrested and booked into the Tehama County Jail on suspicion of domestic violence, and multiple drug and weapons charges.
