21-year-old Christian Nava of Chico has been arrested for allegedly robbing the Shell Station located in the 600 block of Highway 32, Hamilton City in July of 2011.

On July 26, 2011 the Glenn County Sheriff’s Office responded to a burglary alarm coming from the Shell Station. When deputies arrived they found the front doors of the business broken and property, such as perishable goods, alcoholic beverages, tobacco, and over the counter medications, stolen. The estimated loss by owners was approximately $13,000.

Through analysis of bodily fluids collected at the crime scene, a DNA match was made by the Department of Justice which showed Nava as one of the perpetrators. When confronted with the DNA evidence, Nava is alleged to have confessed to Detective Greg Felton of the Sheriff’s Major Crimes Unit.

Security camera footage shows two individuals breaking out the front doors of the Shell Station and investigators are continuing to search for the other individual.
