BERKELEY, Calif. (AP) - Officials found a dismembered foot at a Berkeley BART station and believe the body part belonged to a woman who fell on the tracks last month.
KNTV in San Jose reports the foot was found Monday morning and could be linked to a Dec. 20 where a woman was hit by a BART train.
She survived, but lost her lower right leg, the station reports.
Her name and age were not released.
Track crews found the found foot while out on the tracks.
BART spokesman Jim Allison says no foul play is suspected. Service was halted briefly Monday morning.
