DEVELOPING: Vegetation Fire Threatening Homes in Palermo

(New Update 7:30 p.m.) - Summit Fire grows to 175 plus acres.

Butte County fire crews are working a vegetation fire in the Palermo area that has burned an estimated 175 acres and destroyed several structures.
It's not known if any homes have burned.
A woman called to report the fire just after 5:30 p.m. Friday, near Grubbs road, Tealbrook drive and Summit Avenue.
She said the flames were just 60 feet from her home at the time.
The first crews at the scene estimated the size at 20 to 30 acres with multiple structures threatened.
Here are the areas that have been evacuated. Summit Road, Lower District Road, Grubbs Road, Crosacountre and Tealbrook Drives, Dunstone Lane, Lewis Avenue, Reservoir Road from She-yo Lane to Montana Avenue.
An extensive air attack was launched to help fire crews on the ground.###
