Tehama County Sheriff’s officials say a Gerber man who stole a tractor in an attempt to flee from deputies was tased before he was taken into custody.
41 year old Curtis Anderson allegedly gave false information when he was stopped by an officer on his bicycle in the city of Tehama last week … because there were several warrants out for his arrest.
Authorities say Anderson fled on foot into an orchard, where he forced workers out of the cab of a tractor. Then, he reportedly decided he couldn’t escape arrest by driving the tractor and exited the cab … approaching the deputy and preparing to fight … when he was tased and arrested.
Anderson is jailed on felony charges of resisting arrest, probation violation, robbery and vehicle theft.
Bail is set at $200,000.00. ###
