Delta Air Lines will offer what it says is the first pet-tracking device to reassure passengers who are separated from their beloved furry companions during flights.
Bloomberg reports Delta customers will be able to track pets in real time- receiving information on temperatures and other data before and after flights.
However, restrictions on cellular communications during flights keep the device from sending in-flight data.
The GPS gadget will cost $50 a flight, and is available at 10 airports; Laguardia, Atlanta, Cincinnati, Detroit, Los Angeles, Memphis, Tennessee, Minneapolis/St. Paul, Seattle, Salt Lake City, and Tampa.
The device will not available for pets checked as baggage at the passenger terminal.
