All eyes are on Mr. President and the First Lady.

We’re not talking about the Obamas, in this case, Mr. President and the First Lady are bald eagles.

A live camera aimed at the nest at the U.S. Arboretum allows us to watch as the family grows.

On February 10, the First Lady laid one of two eggs, around 8:30 a.m. Friday, the fully hatched eaglet was visible!

Another egg was laid on Valentine ’s Day in the nest high up in a tulip poplar tree.

All this parenting makes the eagle’s hungry, watch as the first lady nibbles on a fish. Freshness counts, the fish was still living when she started eating.

The eggs have a 35-day incubation period, the second eaglet is expected to hatch in about four days.
