Cows flee Idaho slaughterhouse

Police in Pocatello, Idaho are investigating the apparent release of several cows found wondering the streets after vanishing from a local slaughterhouse.

The owners of Anderson Custom Pack say that the circumstances around the most recent escapes are suspicious.

"There is no way possible for them to open the gate inward," says Jess Anderson.

The Anderson's say that when they came in on Sunday morning to check their animals, the latch was unlocked and the gate was pushed inward, allowing the cows to get out.

"We do have a big latch on the gate that it had to have manually been opened," explains Julie Anderson.
