A Shasta County man has won $1.3 million dollars from a $2 scratch off ticket he bought at the Gas Point Market in Cottonwood Tuesday night.

25-year-old Stevie Woodlief won the “Lucky for Life” scratch off grand prize of $1.3 million, $1,000 a week for the next 25 years.

Gas Point Market store owner Donnie Ritcheson, also a good friend of Woodlief’s said in his 16 years as store owner he has never seen a winner over $1,000. He also said he doesn’t expect Woodlief to squander the money away, and Woodlief mentioned he had plans to make investments with his newfound riches.

Woodlief and his family live close to the Cottonwood store, and today they travelled to Sacramento to claim the prize.

Ritcheson also makes out well thanks to his friends good fortune, the store that sells the winning ticket gets a percentage of the winnings meaning the Gas Point Market will get about $6,500.
