The Corning Senior All-Stars are headed to the West Regionals!

Corning accomplished the feat by knocking off Rocklin, 2-0, in the Northern California championship game at American River College in Sacramento.

Less than twelve hours after capturing the NorCal title, Corning got right back to work preparing for their first match-up of the Regionals against Oregon at 3:00pm on July 29th in Ontario, CA.

Corning has a great run so far this summer, going 10-1 in all-star play and they're eager to make a name for themselves on the big stage.

"Our pitchers are definitely keeping us in the ball-game, we're shutting teams out, holding teams to 1 or 2 runs and the main thing is they're throwing strikes, they're getting ahead of hitters and they're getting outs, they've been pitching awesome," said Head Coach Evan White.

"Most of us out here, we can't even believe that we're here yet, for me like the win last night, I can't even really believe it," said Catcher Trenton Conoly.

"We're not just a small town that gives up, we keep fighting, playing hard, we want to show people what we're all about," said Outfielder Devin Wunsch.

If you'd like to help get them to Ontario, the team will be hosting a car wash at Napa Auto Parts off Solano Street in Corning on Sunday, July 27th, between 10:00am-2:00pm.
