Many people in Corning are shocked and saddened by a local teenager's death. Hannah Craig, 16, was killed Tuesday night when, according to investigators, she was driving an estimated 80 miles-an-hour over a notorious bridge on Columbine Avenue.

Students remember Craig as warm, outgoing, and a good listener.

According to the California Highway Patrol, Craig and a passenger, 17, were headed southbound on Columbine, when Craig hit the bridge and the truck became airborne. Investigators say the truck hit a power pole, then slid several hundred feet, landing against a tree. Craig was pronounced deceased at the scene. Her passenger was rushed to Enloe Medical Center. She is expected to survive.
