Corning man killed in Monday morning crash

A 54-year-old Corning man died after a crash Monday morning at the intersection Edith Avenue and Gallagher Avenue near Corning.

The man killed was driving west on Gallgher Avenue through the Edith Avenue intersection just before 7 a.m. when a Chevrolet pickup drove through a stop sign and hit the man’s 1978 Chevy pickup.

The Corning man was pronounced dead at the scene, and the other driver, 20-year-old Marcos Marmolejo was flown to Enloe Medical Center for treatment.

The name of the deceased has not been released.
