Cooling Trend Arrives In The North State

May 4, 2015 10:18 AM by Cort Klopping

Mostly sunny skies, cooler temperatures, and a very slight chance of active weather are all ahead in your Monday forecast. Temperatures are starting out in the low to mid 50's in the valley, and in the mid 30's to mid 40's in the mountains. Afternoon high temperatures will climb into the high 70's to mid 80's in the valley, and into the mid 70's to low 80's in the mountains. A slight chance for isolated afternoon showers, and thunderstorms will return to the mountains later today, but most of that activity should be well off to our South, and East.

Tuesday's forecast is shaping out to be very close to what we'll have outside today, but cooler temperatures will arrive towards the middle of the week. A slight chance of showers, and thunderstorms will be ahead for Wednesday through Friday afternoons across the region. There will be a lingering chance for that active weather ahead for the Sierra and Cascades on Saturday. Temperatures will dip into the low to mid 70's in the valley by the end of the week. I hope everyone enjoys this cooling trend that's on it's way, and has a marvelous Monday!
