Partly cloudy skies, modest South winds, and cooler temperatures are ahead for your Wednesday. Clouds have increased across the region overnight, but are expected to thin out this afternoon. Temperatures have dipped into the mid to high 50's in the valley overnight, and into the mid 30's to low 50's in the mountains. Afternoon high temperatures are projected to climb into the low 80's for the valley, and into the mid 60's to mid 70's in the mountains. Winds will be out of the South from 10 to 15mph.
Clouds are expected to return to the region on Thursday, and the potential for showers will arrive along the coast on Thursday night. Temperatures are only expected to top out in the mid to high 70's in the valley on Thursday, and will only top out in the mid to high 60's on Friday. Widespread showers will be possible on Friday, but the amounts currently look less than impressive. Valley areas will have the potential for up to around a half an inch of rain, but will more than likely be closer to a tenth of an inch. Mountain areas could get up to around an inch of rain, but will more than likely fall short of that projection.
Valley temperatures will warm back into the low to mid 70's over the weekend. Partly to mostly cloudy skies, and a slight chance for showers will also be ahead for the weekend. Sunday will be more likely to have showers than Saturday. I hope everyone is ready for the cooling trend ahead for the north state, and has a wonderful Wednesday!
