While it was still hot around the North State today, we did manage to cool down some in the Sacramento Valley, thanks to the Delta Breeze. Look for high pressure to weaken over the next couple of days, leading to additional cooling for everyone.
There was some instability in the mountains, and that lead to a few thunderstorms Tuesday afternoon. That should happen again Wednesday afternoon but the rest of the week will be dry in the mountains following that.
Long range computer models are indicating that high pressure will strengthen again next week... Leading to more very hot weather... which could last into the following week.
