Cloudy skies, cooler temperatures, and the potential for showers/thunderstorms are all ahead for your Wednesday. The stronger precipitation has diminished since midnight, but scattered showers are returning to the region this morning. The heaviest precipitation is currently heading from just North of Tahoe to the Bay Area. Showers will be more likely throughout the day, with some potential for isolated thunderstorms this afternoon. Temperatures have dipped into the low 70's in the valley, and into the mid 50's to low 60's in the mountains. Afternoon high temperatures are projected to be in the mid 80's to low 90's in the valley, and in the mid 70's to low 90's in the mountains. Winds will be up to around 10mph out of the South.
Skies will clear out tonight, and the heat will return for your Thursday. Sunny skies, and high 90's to low triple digits are expected for tomorrow. Widespread triple digit heat will be ahead for Friday. Temperatures will finally begin to cool down on Sunday, and valley areas will only top out in the high 80's to low 90's for the start of next week. Skies are expected to stay sunny from tomorrow through your extended forecast. I hope everyone enjoys the cooler temperatures on the way for today, keeps their umbrellas handy, and has a wonderful Wednesday!
