Unsettled and cooler weather around the North State on Wednesday will continue through the rest of the week! There's a slight chance one of those mountain thunderstorms could roll into the Valley as well.
Low pressure is just now reaching the California coastline, and this is what's causing our cool and unsettled weather. It's completely broken down high pressure and kicked up a Delta Breeze, which has cooled us down. It's also destabilized the atmosphere, which has sparked afternoon thunderstorms in the mountains. With this low slowly trekking across California tomorrow, very little will change... expect numerous thunderstorms in the mountains again tomorrow, along with very comfortable Summer temperatures in the Valley. There's a slight chance one of those mountain thunderstorms could sneak into the Valley.
The low will begin to move east this weekend, but it will take time for our temperatures to rebound... so we'll enjoy a warmer but still comfortable weekend. The mountain thunderstorm threat should end by Sunday.
Next week will see our highs return to near average for July... but until then, enjoy the cool (almost Fall-like) weather!
