Monday was a cool and windy day in the Valley, with a few showers in the mountains. The winds will diminish overnight, while it may take a few days for the temperatures to warm up... but we'll enjoy highs near 80 by the end of the week!
A cold, windy but relatively dry storm moved through the North State today. It brought scattered showers to the mountains, and snow at low elevations... although not much below 4000'. We saw a few brief showers in the Valley, but the main thing for us was the wind. 30 to 40 mph gusts were common, bringing down some trees and power lines in Chico. These gusty winds will subside overnight, and the rest of the week looks much calmer.
The storm won't move much tomorrow, so we'll see more of the same Tuesday... except for the gusty winds. Wednesday will be a bit warmer, but there's still a chance of a mountain shower. Thursday is when we'll finally warm back up, and some areas of the Valley will be near 80 by Friday!
This weekend may be a bit cooler... but not much. It's looking like a beautiful weekend is coming our way!
