Cooler temperatures, and cloudy skies are ahead for the north state, today. Temperatures are starting out in the mid 40's to low 50's for the valley, and will climb into the high 60's to low 70's this afternoon. Partly cloudy, and dry conditions are expected for the afternoon, with the next chance for showers returning mid to late week. Winds will be variable, with winds out of the North to 10mph in the mid valley, and out of the Southeast to 10mph in the northern end. Humidity values are projected to drop to around 40 percent this afternoon.
Temperatures will stay cool, but wet weather is returning later this week. The next chance for showers returns on Wednesday night, and will last through Saturday. The best potential for heavy precipitation will be between Friday night, through Saturday morning.
